Almost Pose turns a photo you choose into an on-device pose guide and helps you frame and take a new photo. This policy explains the information used by the app, automatic app analytics and limited advertising measurement, and your controls.
Who is responsible
Almost Pose is provided by Alexander Rysev, the developer identified on its Apple App Store listing. For privacy and support requests, contact almostappsup@gmail.com. Our support page is shared with our other Almost apps. Please mention Almost Pose in your message.
Photos, camera and pose processing
You choose a reference photo through Apple's system photo picker. This gives the app access to the selected item; Almost Pose does not request permission to browse your entire photo library.
The selected image, any metadata embedded in that image, the pose outline, body and face landmarks, subject selection, camera frames and AR placement information are processed on your iPhone. These are used to position a guide, compare framing and provide pose instructions. They are not sent to Firebase, AppsFlyer, advertising partners or an external AI service. We do not use them to identify people or create a biometric identity database.
The most recent reference photo and your subject selection may be saved in the app's protected local storage so you can return to them. When you save a pose to My poses, the app also stores the source photo, thumbnail, title, creation date, selected subject and any suggested-reference ID locally. Pose geometry is rebuilt when you reopen the saved photo. A local hash of the photo content and subject selection prevents duplicate gallery entries; it is not a device identifier and is not sent to analytics or advertising partners. The reference cache and My poses gallery are excluded from device backup. You can rename or delete individual entries in My poses, or choose “Delete all saved poses” in Privacy & Support to remove the personal gallery and last reference. Suggested references bundled with the app remain available. Uninstalling the app also removes its local app storage.
Camera access is requested when you open the camera. Live frames are processed locally. A captured photo remains in memory until you dismiss it, save it or share it. When you choose Save, the app requests permission to add that photo to Apple Photos. Copies saved to Photos are managed by Apple Photos and may sync through your own iCloud Photos settings. When you choose Share, Apple and the destination you select handle that sharing under their own policies.
App analytics and diagnostics
App analytics and diagnostics are enabled by default for new installations. There is no separate first-launch analytics selection screen. You can turn them off in Privacy & Support without restricting photo or camera features. Previously saved choices, including an opt-out, are respected.
When enabled, Google Firebase Analytics processes limited information to understand use of Almost Pose and improve the app. Firebase Crashlytics provides technical diagnostics to resolve failures that prevent the app from working:
- Actions such as importing a reference, opening the camera, confirming the guide, capturing, saving and completing a share; completing the free session; and viewing, starting or completing subscription checkout when subscriptions are available.
- Gallery collection and filter selections, photo or silhouette preview mode, which bundled preset cards are viewed or selected, pose opening, saving, renaming and deleting outcomes, and counts of matching or locally saved poses. Bundled preset IDs and their model, style and camera-angle categories can be associated with camera and photo-save or share events. These labels describe the reference content, not your identity or gender. These detailed gallery events and preset labels are sent to Firebase Analytics, not AppsFlyer or advertising partners.
- Screen names, permission outcomes, operation duration and fixed error categories.
- App version, operating system, device model, language, timestamps, session information and technical network information.
- Pseudonymous app-instance or installation identifiers generated by the services, and approximate country or region derived from network information.
- Crash stack traces and technical crash diagnostics. We do not attach photos, pose measurements, filenames, personal pose titles or identifiers, local photo hashes, free-form text, precise location, email addresses or account profiles to app analytics or crash reports. We do not use session replay. Firebase advertising storage, advertising user data, personalization and IDFV collection are disabled in this app.
Advertising measurement and iOS tracking permission
Limited advertising measurement is enabled by default for new installations. AppsFlyer can begin measuring the first app open, installs and selected completion events without waiting for an answer to Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. These events, such as creating your first guide and saving a photo, help evaluate AppLovin/Axon and TikTok campaigns promoting Almost Pose. You can turn AppsFlyer measurement off in Privacy & Support.
AppsFlyer may process an installation identifier, app and device information, timestamps, IP address, approximate location and campaign or attribution information. The app does not send your photo content, pose geometry or precise location.
At the first eligible active launch, the app requests Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission directly, without a custom permission screen. iOS determines whether the prompt can appear, for example based on system restrictions and any previous answer. Allowing tracking permits AppsFlyer to use the iOS advertising identifier and share permitted install and completion events with TikTok for Business and AppLovin/Axon when measurement and those integrations are enabled.
Before an ATT answer, or if tracking is denied, restricted or revoked, the app does not enable collection of the advertising identifier. First-party app analytics and limited attribution continue unless you disable them. AppsFlyer's Aggregated Advanced Privacy setting limits the attribution data available to advertising partners for users without tracking permission; Apple's SKAdNetwork/AdAttributionKit can also provide aggregated campaign measurement. App-install identifiers may still be used within the measurement service. IDFV collection is disabled, and we do not send email, phone or a customer user ID to AppsFlyer. We do not attempt to identify you across companies through device fingerprinting.
If you turn advertising measurement off in the app, the app stops sending SDK events to AppsFlyer. Apple's aggregated attribution postbacks, if applicable, are managed by iOS and do not provide us with a personal advertising identifier.
Almost Pose currently does not show third-party advertisements inside the app. We do not sell your information for money. Sharing identifiers for advertising measurement can be considered “sharing” or a “sale” under some privacy laws; it is subject to the choices described above.
Providers and disclosures
We use Google Firebase for app analytics and crash diagnostics, AppsFlyer for advertising measurement, RevenueCat for subscription access and purchase validation, Apple for payment and platform services, and OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare to host and deliver this policy and our support website. Older policy and support pages may remain available on Notion during the transition. Analytics and AppsFlyer measurement can be disabled in the app. If you visit a linked website or send support email, its service provider may process the information needed to deliver that service.

Support
If you contact support, we receive your email address and the message and attachments you choose to send. Please avoid sending private photos or unnecessary sensitive information. We use support correspondence to answer your request and resolve issues.
Legal bases and your choices
Where applicable, local app processing is needed to provide the functionality you request. We use limited app analytics, diagnostics and aggregated campaign measurement for our legitimate interests in understanding app use, maintaining reliability and evaluating acquisition, where that basis is permitted by applicable law. Cross-company tracking requires your affirmative iOS tracking permission. The ATT choice is specific to Apple's tracking permission and is not a general consent to every use of personal information. Support processing relies on providing the assistance you request and our legitimate interest in resolving issues; legally required processing relies on the relevant obligation.
You can open Privacy & Support manually to change analytics and advertising measurement settings at any time. Turning a setting off stops future SDK collection for that purpose; it does not undo processing that has already occurred. Disabling analytics also resets the local Firebase analytics identifier and requests deletion of unsent crash reports.
You can manage camera, photo-add and tracking permissions in iOS Settings. Declining ATT or disabling analytics or advertising measurement does not remove app features. An ATT refusal does not by itself disable first-party analytics or aggregated attribution.
Retention and deletion
The last-reference cache remains until you replace or delete it, or uninstall the app. Entries in My poses remain until you delete them individually, use Delete all saved poses, or uninstall the app. Saved or shared copies outside the app must be deleted through the relevant destination.
Google Analytics user-level event retention is set to two months; aggregated reports may remain longer. Crashlytics retains crash reports according to Google's published retention schedule, generally 90 days. AppsFlyer retains attribution and event data according to the applicable service plan and retention rules. We use these records only while needed for the stated analytics, reliability and measurement purposes.
Support correspondence is retained while needed to resolve requests, handle follow-up and meet legal obligations. If we must retain information for legal or security reasons, we limit its use accordingly.
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, withdraw consent, and complain to your local data-protection authority. Contact the support address above with the app name and your request. We may need information to locate pseudonymous provider records or verify the request; we do not require an in-app account. Uninstalling or switching collection off does not automatically delete information already received by providers.
International processing and security
Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Where required, applicable contractual safeguards govern international transfers.
We use platform protections for local app storage and encrypted network connections for SDK traffic. No storage or transmission system is completely secure.
Children
Almost Pose is a general-audience photography app and is not directed to children under 13. Tracking permission should only be granted by people old enough to provide valid consent under their local law. Parents and guardians can manage iOS permissions and the app's measurement settings. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact support.
Purchases and free-session allowance
Apple handles subscription payment and billing. RevenueCat validates Apple transactions and manages subscription access, renewals, refunds and purchase restoration. RevenueCat processes a generated anonymous app-user identifier, purchase and transaction identifiers, product, amount and currency, subscription status, and technical app/device and network information needed to provide this service. We do not supply RevenueCat with your photos, pose data, email address, payment-card details or Apple Account password. Its automatic collection of advertising and vendor identifiers is disabled. Subscription validation remains necessary when you turn off optional app analytics or advertising measurement.
To enforce the first free photo session, the app stores a completion flag locally in its preferences and iOS Keychain. A session is completed when you successfully save or share a photo, or choose Done. The Keychain flag can remain after reinstalling the app. It is not a device fingerprint, is not sent to advertising partners, and does not contain your photos or pose data. Contact support if you believe access was restricted in error.
When analytics is enabled, Firebase can receive subscription plan, checkout outcome, verified transaction identifier, purchase amount and currency. When advertising measurement is enabled, we send the AppsFlyer installation identifier to RevenueCat so its servers can report purchases, renewals and refunds to AppsFlyer, including while the app is closed. These events include amount, currency, product and transaction information. Turning advertising measurement off removes this AppsFlyer link and requests a block on partner sharing when the preference reaches RevenueCat. Partner reporting remains subject to Aggregated Advanced Privacy; sharing data for cross-company tracking requires iOS tracking permission. Restoring existing access is not counted as a new purchase. Sandbox payments remain separate from production and are not sent to our production AppsFlyer integration. RevenueCat handles AppsFlyer revenue reporting; a local transaction record prevents duplicate Firebase purchase reporting.
There is no Almost Pose account sign-up or separate developer-operated purchase server. RevenueCat retains subscription records as needed to validate access, restore purchases, provide subscription reporting and handle related support or legal obligations. Uninstalling the app does not cancel your Apple subscription or automatically erase those records. Contact support for subscription-data requests; Apple manages billing cancellation and refund requests.
Changes
We will update this page and its date when our practices change. Material changes requiring additional consent will be presented in the app before that new processing begins.
